LSI Medience first began food sanitation and hygiene analysis operations in 1992, based on the company's twin pillars of technology refined in clinical testing operations and a wide-ranging service network operating throughout Japan. Since then, through our comprehensive food-related testing services primarily focused on bacterial and chemical testing, as well as hygiene testing at food factories, kitchen facilities, and among food handlers, we have made invaluable contributions to the improvement of quality control and trouble prevention for food producers and food service industries. Food Sanitation and Hygiene Analysis Services

1. Food Bacterial Testing and Analysis
We can carry out a wide variety of bacterial tests on a range of food products, placing particular focus on raw materials and products used in food factories and kitchen facilities.
Inspection items: Testing is available for a range of bacteria such as E. coli, S. aureus, Salmonella, and B. cereus

2. Food Chemical Testing and Analysis
We are able to offer a comprehensive testing service for analysis of factors such as nutritional and calorific information for a particular product as required by the Japanese Standards of Dietic Information. Using the latest in highly-accurate analytical techniques certified by ISO9001, the company is able to provide clients with reliable data that inspires a high level of trust from consumers.
Inspection items:
Component testing (for factors such as water, protein, fat, carbohydrate, mineral, sugar, and dietary fiber content)

3. Detection of Residual Agricultural Chemicals in Food Products
Japan has very strict standards for agricultural residue standards in food products, extending beyond agricultural products, animal and fish products, and feedstuff to encompass even processed foods. Testing for residual agricultural chemicals is carried out through analysis using equipment such as mini-column cartridges and gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC/MS). This analysis method allows for the simultaneous screening of a variety of agricultural chemicals, and LSI Medience is able to take advantage of these techniques in carrying out quantitative and highly-accurate testing of a product that gives extremely reliable results.
Inspection items:
Can screen for 447 individual items within agricultural products; 74 items among animal and fish products; 58 individual items among domestic rice products; and 101 separate items as part of pesticide analysis of clean water

Aimed at facilities involved in the preparation and manufacture of food products (such as food factories, kitchen facilities, and commercial enterprises), LSI Medience can carry out regular evaluations of environmental health that are based on the company's defined procedures and content.

We also provide consulting services to facilitate the establishment of quality control systems using the most advanced sanitation control programs, such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
