The Toxicological Science Division serves to perform nonclinical studies by taking full advantages of a vast array of techniques and renowned reliability that the former Mitsubishi Chemical Safety Institute Ltd. (MSI) had acquired through its broad range of accumulated experience.
The Safety Assessment Department offers comprehensive safety evaluation of new chemical compounds including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agrichemicals, food additives, specified health foods, feed additives, animal drugs, and industrial chemicals while collaborating with our Drug Analysis Department, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics Department, and Pharmacology Department.
We perform all safety studies listed below in compliance with the GLP regulations upon request. Moreover, electronmicroscopic analysis (scanning and transmission) is available in the pathology examination in the course of our safety studies.
Single Dose Toxicity Studies (Acute Toxicity Tests), Repeated Dose Toxicity Studies (Subacute and Chronic Toxicity Tests)
Carcinogenicity Studies
Inhalation Toxicity Studies
Reproductive and Developmental Toxicity Studies, Reproduction Toxicity Studies, Teratogenicity Studies
Topical Irritation Tests
Sensitization Studies
Antigenicity Studies
Immunotoxicity Studies
Safety Evaluation of Microbial Pesticides
OthersWe are delighted to conduct various studies of test substances in a developmental stage (non-GLP). Consultation and notification services of testing for the test substances are also available.
All of our research and studies are in strict adherence to the laws concerning protection and management of animals with full respect of the standards concerning care and management of test animals, and have been accepted and certified for animal welfare practices.
